Great staff, very friendly and always great you with a smile. They put a lot of effort into keeping everything clean and tidy. Beautiful gardens and view to the beach. The water at the beach is quite shallow and not a lot to see in terms of coral or fish life. They have a pier which they set up each evening to have drinks or dinner and you can see some nice sunsets. Rooms are quite clean and staff work hard to help whenever they can. Service is quite attentive and there are lots of places to move to get another beautiful view.

This hotel has once again exceeded all my expectations. We were last at The Lamai 10 years ago (at that time under the management of Le Méridien). We liked it so much back then that we booked it again. This time, too, the stay was fantastic. The hotel is a boutique hotel, which gives it a very personal atmosphere. No mass tourism, no hordes of people, just peace and relaxation. The restaurant has a sea view and in the evenings you can enjoy cocktails on the pontoon jutting out into the sea. Wonderful! The rooms are beautifully decorated in Thai style – rather understated but very stylish. The bathrooms are adjacent to the room in the outdoor area and are very spacious, with terrazzo floors. Very stylish! And a super nice outdoor area, which is maintained daily by a team of gardeners. And what gives a hotel the finishing touch? The service! Fantastic! So nice and friendly. Extremely attentive. Whether at the reception, housekeeping, gardeners, or in the restaurant. The people who work at Lamai are consistently friendly, helpful, and very nice. You can tell right away that this hotel is run by international management. There was even an employee who recognized us from our stay 10 years ago. I have traveled a lot, including in Thailand. When you stay at Lamai, you can say: It's nicer than home! What more could you want? We'll be back!

This was far and away the best relaxation holiday we have ever had. From the moment we were greeted at the driveway of the hotel to the checkout, we felt like members of a loving family. The hotel was impeccably clean and all amenities were well kept, including the spa, pool and beach area. The food was fresh and super tasty, catering to all tastes, I especially recommend the rice paper rolls and chicken satay skewers, which were very reasonably priced as well. In fact everything was well priced, except weirdly the sparkling water, which was a little more than the cocktails BTW you have to try the pina coladas! They are to die for! Our room was lovely and nice and quiet, although I really never got the hang of the aircon, but wasn't too bothered about it. Now to the best part of the whole holiday - the staff! Every single person who works here was just beautiful. We felt so welcome and valued every moment of the day. I cannot single out anyone but am posting some photos of these beautiful people. We will miss you and we will definitely be back as soon as we can.

From the moment you arrive at reception, the Team at the Lamai Samui are there to help. Kwan ensures everything runs like clockwork in the restuarant and almost seems to always be there. Kenny has the meals covered and the menu offers enough variety to keep you more than satisfied for your stay. The view from the restuarant over the pool and out over the ocean is beautiful and makes a magnificent backdrop to dinner. The pier offers evening drinks with a fabulous view up and down the coastline. The rooms were spacious and clean. Our bed was comfortable. Sao ensured our room was always made up every day and checked in to ensured we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay at the Lamai again. Thanks to the team for a wonderful time.
