Excellent hotel, we stayed there twice on our trip going to Europe once going there and on the return trip. It was recommended by out travel agent and I would recommend to anyone. Ideal location, excellent service and facilities. They were wonderful and allowed us to stay at the hotel by the pool after we checked out as our flight was some hours away, much nicer way to spend time, swimming and lying in the sun rather than having to hang around the busy airport.

Great hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast catered for everyone. Upgraded to executive which included High Tea and Happy Hour with drinks and Canapés was well worth the upgrade. Thanks to Andy and the bar staff at Crossroads Bar for looking after us and a special thank you to Murni who went above and beyond to organise special gluten free canapés for us.

Great location. Unfortunately not a great experience. I am surprised by the number of comments about how good the breakfast was, lots of choices. Yes I agree but everything and I mean everything is either cold or lukewarm. The refreshed food is topped up by more cold food, even trying to get breakfast at 6:30am, the opening time will not guarantee warm food. In fact on our last day, Thursday 23/10 we didn't bother going to breakfast as the previous 2 days were so bad. Maybe if they didn't pile so much food up under obviously not working heat lamps things would improve. Or maybe have kitchen staff walking around checking food levels, like in a Bangkok hotel we had been prior to the Paradox. Didn't see any kitchen staff checking anything. If you ask for coffee from the serving staff, a pointed finger to a machine, no service. The Egg station has 1 chef cooking to order, with the resultant queues. Why not 2 chefs given how long omlettes take? One toasting machine with a defective slide mechanism, again why not 2? We have stayed at this property on a number of occasions, before it was a Paradox, but it seems standards have dropped. One really annoying action is when the wait staff, when you find one, clears your used plate but then puts back the dirty cutlery back on your table next to your used serviette. Why? Just change the cutlery, change the paper serviettes. Is this the training they get when being employed? The hotel front counter were very nice, its just my wife and I feel the restaurant area needs to lift its game. We felt we were getting typical Singaporean hotel dining customer service. Non existent and no care. And we have been coming to Singapore for over 25 years so have enough experience, both here and other properties. The breakfast food offerings, even with a large selection, provided by the restaurant, and a disinterested staff offsets the rest of the hotel, which is a shame. We would stay again because of the location but we will never take the breakfast option.

An older hotel with modern amenities. The breakfast buffet is designed around multiple clientele from different cultures. An amazing selection. I found the beds to be a little hard, however they supply mattress toppers to accentuate your comfort. There is a smaller pool on the second floor with a gym and spa. There is also a self service laundry if you require it. The hotel is located at Clarke's Quay and is a fifteen minute walk to Chinatown and twenty minutes to the waterfront. The staff are amazing and will help with any of your needs.
