+How do I buy a DEAL?

Firstly, make sure you are signed up!

Then, after logging in - click 'Buy Now' towards the top-right of the offer-page. On the next page, you will be asked to confirm the quantity of vouchers that you wish to purchase (if you're using DEALS Dollars/Credits to purchase, this is where you can select how manyu DEALS Dollar you want to use).

If you're buying a product, you may also be required to provide your Postal Address, or your choice of redemption location. Always make sure you enter the correct address for delivery.

Once you've done all that, you can then go ahead and click 'Complete My Order' towards the bottom of the page. The number of credits selected (if any) will be deducted from the cost of the voucher, and the corresponding number of credits removed from your DEALS account.

Follow the on-screen instructions from here - you can pay via a registered PayPal account, or using your credit/debit card.

+I bought a DEAL - what do I do now?

You will find instructions on how to redeem the offer on the voucher itself. Depending on the offer you've purchased, you may need to contact the featured business to make a booking - contact details will be provided on the voucher. You may also find them in the 'Need To Know' section on the offer-page, along with any other conditions relevant to that particular offer.

In order to retrieve your voucher - after logging in, towards the top of the page you will see a button that says 'My Account'. After clicking this, select 'All' on the next page, and all the vouchers that you have ever purchased from us should appear. You will see a button saying 'Print' next to each voucher, along with it's 'DEALS ID', and 'Redemption Code'.

Clicking 'Print' will open the voucher up in a new tab/window, ready for you to print off as normal.

Hot Tip: Whenever you buy a vouchder which needs a booking, always be sure to book well in advance of the expiry - the earlier the better. Just to make sure no oe misses out, most vouchers will need to be booked between two and four weeks before their expiry.

+Where's My Voucher - I never got it!

After you buy a voucher, you'll get an email from DEALS with a link to download (and print) your voucher.

Unfortunately, some mail servers automatically transfer our emails to your 'junk' mail box.
 
You can still get your vouchers though, you just need to log on to www.DEALS.com.au and log-in by clicking on the Log-In link on the top of the screen.

Once you've logged in, you just need to click on My Account, and all you'll be able to see all the deals you have previously bought on there. (For your old 'Used' vouchers, you can check them by clicking on the tab that says 'used')
 
(If you haven't been getting our emails, it's also a good idea to make sure that you added us as a 'safe sener' to make sure your daily DEALS.com.au email isn’t also going to your junk box!)

Special Tip: Lots of our members have more than one email address – if you log into your account and you can’t find your voucher, you may have used a different email address to purchase – for example your work email or your personal email address. Try all the email addresses you have and if you still can’t find it, let us know.

Extra Special tip for PayPal Users: If you used PayPal to purchase, what happens is that a new account will be created using your PayPal email address. If your login email for PayPal and DEALS are the same then there won't be any problems, but if you use a different address for PayPal, a new DEALS account with that PayPal email will be created. Your voucher will be placed in that account

+I have a question about a past/present DEAL

In most cases, contacting the business directly is the quickest way to get your question answered.

You will be able to find contact details for the featured business on the offer-page. Other conditions (such as the expiry date) can be found in the 'Need To Know' section of the offer-page.

+Can I get a Refund for my Purchase?

We have a refund policy which can be found here, http://deals.com.au/info/refund-policy. We always provide a credit or refund when a business is no longer operating and you have a valid voucher.

Please note, refunds are not available if the validity period of the voucher has ended. If you wish to submit a refund request, please ensure you do so while the voucher is still valid so we can help!

If you would like a refund for any other reason, please let us know via email to support@deals.com.au. Our support team will always do it's utmost best to assist. (Please note, it is really important whenever making a refund request to provide very detailed and accurate information - if any information provided is false, we will not be able to provide a refund to you).

+I Ordered my Product and it hasn't come yet

Most product deals take around 1-4 weeks to be delivered (you can check the voucher for an estimated delivery time, usually it's the first term of the Fine Print). 
 
For some products, we collect names and addresses at checkout – for others, you will have contacted the supplier. Please look at the Terms and Conditions for more information on what you need to do to get your product.
 
If it has reached the specified delivery time for your item and it hasn't arrived yet, please send us an email to support@deals.com.au and we'll follow that up for you. (Usually, if you haven't got your item it's because there's been an issue with delivery). When following up a delivery, it's always a good idea to confirm the delivery address required to allow us ot trace the delivery as quickly as possily for you!

If there's been a specific problem with a product, well send everyone an email as soon as we hear!

+There's something wrong with my Product - What can I Do?

If there is a problem with a product ordered, the first step it to try to contact the supplier (their details should be on the voucher).

If you aren't able to contact the supplier, or they're not getting back to you, please let us know exactly what the difficulties you have are by email to support@deals.com.au and we'll do our best to help!

+I've changed my mind about my Product - What can I Do?

We are only able to offer refunds in cases where items are faulty, damaged or incorrectly advertised. 
 
If you’ve changed your mind, you will need to contact the supplier to check if they are willing to accept the product back. If the supplier is willing to accept the product back, DEALS will be able to offer a DEALS credit for the purchase price within one week.

+I've checked My Account and there's no voucher there - what gives?

To access your vouchers, you need to first log-in by clicking on Log-In and entering our email address and your password.

Once you've logged in you just need to go to My Account and your purchased vouchers will appear there.

If you purchased a voucher and it isn't showing up, the next step is to check your credit card statement (on-line if you have access!). If there is a charge there,please send an email right away to support@deals.com.au so the team can investigate it for you.

+I bought a gift voucher and I can't find it?

To find your gift vouchers you just need to log on to www.DEALS.com.au and then click on the "My Account" link (which appears once you have signed in).
 
Once you’ve logged in you will notice several tabs, 'ctive', 'Used', 'Offered' and 'Expired'

+What/Where is my redemption code?

Your redemption code is the code printed at the top of your voucher - in almost all cases, you will need to give this code when redeeming the offer you have purchased - this is so that our partners can verify that the voucher is valid and provide you with the service advertised.

In order to retrieve your voucher - after logging in, towards the top-right of the page you will see a button that says 'My DEALS'. After clicking this, select 'All' on the next page, and all the vouchers that you have ever purchased from us should appear. You will see a button saying 'Print' next to each voucher, along with its 'DEALS ID', and 'Redemption Code'.

Hot Tip: In December 2012, DEALS.com.au changed its voucher codes – while our codes used to have 16 digits, any voucher bought after 9 December 2012 will have six digits/letter.

+I can't use my voucher any more - can I give it to someone else?

Yes, DEALS vouchers are fully transferable (unless the terms of a specific deal state otherwise). SO long as you haven’t used part of your voucher, you can give it to a friend or family member.  (If you’ve had part of a treatment or service, you aren’t able to give the voucher away though).

If a voucher has expired, it unfortunately can't be used by anyone.

+Can I use a voucher after it has expired?

Voucher redemption is at the discretion of the business providing the service or product. Most businesses will stick by the strict validity terms of the voucher and are not able to extend past the validity date. We always prefer if our members can use their voucher at any time, but unfortunately, redemption after expiry is purely at the discretion of the business.
 
Please note, many businesses book out prior to the voucher expiry - we suggest making a booking at least six weeks prior to the end of the validity period (and if you’re trying to get a booking for a popular time, like a weekend, the booking should be made as soon as possible. The earlier you book, the more likely it is that you will get your preferred booking time!)

+What does the 'Mark as Used' Button do?

The 'Mark as Used' button allows you to move your used vouchers to the Used section, that way, you can check exactly what vouchers have yet to be used.
 
Once you’ve used your voucher, you can move it by clicking on the Mark As Used button to view all your used vouchers, you can click on Used Vouchers.
 
If you mark a voucher as used by mistake, that’s not a problem!  To see your 'Used' Vouchers, you just need to click on Used Vouchers tab. Even if you've marked a voucher as used, you can still print it out and use it.

+I just tried to buy a deal and it's finished - can I still buy it?

Unfortunately, deals only last for a very limited time (that's why the discounts are so good) and once a deal has ended, DEALS.com.au aren't able to legally sell any more vouchers.

+I'm trying to use DEALS Dollars and it's still asking for my Credit Card details - why?

If you are using DEALS Dollars for your entire purchase, you won't need to enter any credit card details. (You can just ignore the box there!)

If you are using DEALS Dollars for part of the purchase, you will need to use a credit card to 'top up' the purchase (for example, if you have $15 DEALS Dollars credit stored up, and you are buying something that costs $100, you would just need to pay the $85 top-up amount from your credit card or PayPal account).

No, your DEALS dollars won’t expire – you can use them whenever you like.

+Can I give my DEALS Dollars away?

Sorry, your DEALS Dollars are personal to you – but you can buy a voucher for someone as a gift using those DEALS dollars.

+I used my DEALS Dollars to buy a voucher, when I check my bank statement, the full amount was charged - what gives?

So long as you clicked on the “use my credit” drop down at checkout our system will charge you the cost, less any DEALS dollars in your account.
 
If you look at your bank statement right after a purchase, you may notice more than one charge on there (usually, there will be the full amount and the amount less DEALS dollars on your statement).
 
That is an unfortunate requirement of the banks – we haven’t really charged you twice! The charge you noticed for the full amount is what banks call a ‘pre-authorisation’. DEALS.com.au doesn’t actually charge anything until after the deal closes – the pre-authorisation is just a hold on those funds.
 
When the DEALS.com.au system goes to charge you, it will see that you are using DEALS.com.au Dollars and will adjust the cost accordingly! The original ‘pre-authorisation’ will ‘drop off’ within one to five business days (depending on which bank you're with).

+I have been charged twice! What gives?

If there are two charges on your statement, it is most likely that the first is a ‘pre-authorisation’, rather than an actual charge. The ‘pre-authorisation’ will be removed by your bank between one to five business days (depending on which bank you use for your credit card).

If you noticed that you actually bought more vouchers than you intended, please contact at supports@deals.com,au immediately, so long as DEALS is told promptly, we can usually credit or refund the mistakenly bought vouchers (but it will depend on how quickly we’ve been notified).

+My Password isn't working - What can I do?

If your password doesn’t work, you can get a new one by clicking on the "Forgot Password' link underneath the login box.
 
You should get an automated email sent to you – if that doesn’t work, it probably means your email account may be blocking our emails! First thing to do is to check your junk mail box and there should be an email in there. If there is, please add us as a safe sender.
 
If you can’t find an email from us, just send us a quick email to support@deals.com.au and our team will be able to help out and give you a new password right away!

+How do I refer a friend?

In order to refer a friend to DEALS.com.au, you just need to…

After logging in, in the top corner of the page, there is a link which says “Invite Friends, get $5”. You will then be taken to a page that states your personal referral link. Send this link (in an email) to all of your family and friends. If any of them sign up to DEALS.com.au then purchase any offer within 72 hours, we'll give you $5 DEALS credit for use immediately when purchasing any future offers!

Note that your DEALS credit never expires, and you can use as much or as little of it as you want at any one time. If you refer enough friends - you could start purchasing offers using just DEALS credit!

+Is DEALS a secure site?

DEALS.com.au is fully secured by Verisign, the highest level of security a website can have. All financial details are passed directly on to our merchant processor, so not even DEALS staff have access to any credit card details.

+How do I give the Gift Voucher?

At the end of the offer, we will send a link to download the gift voucher – exactly like a normal voucher. You can send the voucher as a PDF to the lucky recipient, or you can print it off and combine I with a card if you prefer!

If you would like to unsubscribe from receiving emails from DEALS in future, please go to My Account and then click on My Subscriptions.

On that page you can choose exactlyt what emails you want (you can even choose to receive an email once a week, instead of every day, just so you don't miss out on any grerat deals, but don't have your inbox too clogged up!)

+I still haven't received a response from DEALS - I'm not happy!

We like to try to reply to any enquiry within less than an hour (if we get it between 7.00am and 11.00pm AEST). If it’s outside those hours, it may take us a but longer to reply (all our support team is based in Sydney and Melbourne).

In the event that you have attempted to contact us and you haven’t got a reply after 24 hours,  it's possible that your email didn’t make it through to us for some reason (usually, an ISP issue!).

If this happens, please try to send another email from a different email address to support@deals.com.au

We will never not reply to an email, to if you haven’t heard back from us within a day, it means the email never made it to us!
